HCS HB 422 -- CONVEYANCE IN MISSISSIPPI COUNTY

SPONSOR:  Kelly (Black)

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Corrections and Public Institutions by a vote of 8 to 0.

This substitute authorizes the Governor to convey the National
Guard armory located in Mississippi County to the City of
Charleston.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds in FY 2006, FY 2007, and
FY 2008.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the old armory in Charleston is
no longer being used, and the city would like to use it as a
maintenance garage.

Testifying for the bill was Representative Black.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
