HB 43 -- MEMORIAL HIGHWAY

SPONSOR:  Wallace

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Transportation by a vote of 13 to 0.

This bill designates a portion of U. S. Highway 160 from State
Route 76 to State Route 125 as the "Rick Harmon Memorial
Highway."

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds in FY 2006, FY 2007, and
FY 2008.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the bill will honor a Department
of Transportation employee killed on the job while making the
highway safer for travel.

Testifying for the bill was Representative Wallace.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
