HB 487 -- EMERGENCY VEHICLES

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Transportation by a vote of 15 to 0.

This bill adds Missouri Capitol Police vehicles to the definition
of "emergency vehicle."

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds in FY 2006, FY 2007, and
FY 2008.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the bill will allow Capitol
Police vehicles to be considered as an emergency vehicle as are
other law enforcement agency vehicles.

Testifying for the bill were Representative Bruns; and Missouri
Capitol Police.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
