HB 53 -- MEMORIAL HIGHWAY

SPONSOR:  Swinger

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Transportation by a vote of 15 to 0.

This bill designates a portion of U. S. Highway 412 from the
eastern limits of the City of Kennett to the western limits of
the City of Hayti as the "Governor John M. Dalton Memorial
Highway."

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds in FY 2006, FY 2007, and
FY 2008.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the bill will be a fitting
tribute to Missouri's 45th Governor.

Testifying for the bill was Representative Swinger.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
