HB 567 -- CONDEMNATION PROCEEDINGS

SPONSOR:  Stevenson

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Judiciary by a vote of 13 to 0.

This bill increases the time parties are allowed to request the
circuit court to review a report in condemnation proceedings from
10 days after service of the notice to 30 days after service to
conform with the current Missouri Supreme Court rule.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds in FY 2006, FY 2007, and
FY 2008.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the bill makes the statute
consistent with the Supreme Court rule.

Testifying for the bill was Representative Stevenson.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
