HB 149 -- Advance Voting

Currently, absentee voting is permitted only for certain reasons,
and applications for absentee ballots must be received by 5:00
p.m. on the Wednesday immediately prior to an election.  This
bill changes the terminology from "absentee" to "advance" voting,
allows advance voting for any reason, and extends the application
deadline for advance voting to 5:00 p.m. on the Friday
immediately prior to an election.  Election authorities are
allowed to designate locations other than the election
authorities' offices as additional sites to apply for and vote
advance ballots in person.
