HB 178 -- Municipal Probation Officers

This bill allows municipal judges to employ a person, or to
contract with a public entity, to provide probation services for
people convicted of municipal ordinance violations, such as
driving while intoxicated.  Current law allows municipal judges
to contract only with private entities for probation services.
