HB 251 -- Teachers on Strike

This bill adds participation in a strike to the list of reasons
for termination of a tenured teacher's contract.  A teacher who
strikes cannot use sick leave or vacation time to cover his or
her absence; and if the district does not remain in operation,
additional days of work for days missed will be added to the
schedule.  Labor organizations must notify teachers of strike
votes at least three days before the vote in a manner that
includes proof of receipt of the notice, which may be electronic,
and the purpose, time, and location of the vote.
