HB 333 -- State Employees' Retirement

This bill requires consolidation of the Highways and
Transportation Employees' and Highway Patrol Retirement System
(HTEHPRS) into the Missouri State Employees' Retirement System
(MOSERS) by September 1, 2008.  The board of trustees of the two
retirement systems will enter into a written agreement by
December 31, 2005, describing the consolidation process.  By
January 1, 2006, or the date of the written agreement, the MOSERS
board will assume the powers and duties regarding administration
of the system from the HTEHPRS board.

During the period beginning September 1, 2005, and ending
September 1, 2008, the Superintendent of the State Highway Patrol
and the Director of the Department of Transportation will be
members of the MOSERS board with the same duties and
responsibilities as any other member.
