HB 391 -- Public Records Sponsor: Cooper (120) This bill defines "vexatious request" and allows a public governmental body to refuse any vexatious request for documents under the Sunshine Law. The court is allowed to award costs and reasonable attorney fees to the prevailing party upon a finding by a preponderance of the evidence that the public governmental body did not violate any provisions of the law and that the plaintiff's request for documents was vexatious.Copyright (c) Missouri House of Representatives
