HB 39 -- School Facilities

This bill repeals several obsolete statutes regarding school
facilities and updates and consolidates several others.  School
districts are permitted to dispose of personal property with a
value of less than $500 under terms established by the district.
Personal property valued at $500 or more must go to the highest
bidder.  The bill clarifies that districts may establish stadiums
and athletic facilities, as well as school libraries, art
galleries, and museums.  Districts may accept gifts of money or
property for stadiums and their appurtenances and may determine
if an expense charge is appropriate for the use of school
facilities.
