HB 41 -- Drug Testing of Medicaid Recipients Sponsor: Sater This bill requires the Department of Social Services to establish a random drug testing program for all Medicaid recipients beginning January 1, 2006. Recipients testing positive for drugs must participate in a drug treatment program, and those who fail to participate in a program are not eligible to receive any kind of public assistance. The department must submit an annual evaluation of the drug testing program to the Governor, Speaker of the House of Representatives, and President Pro Tem of the Senate beginning January 1, 2007. Information that must be included in the evaluation is specified. The provisions of the bill will expire six years from the effective date.Copyright (c) Missouri House of Representatives
