HB 472 -- Captions for Electronic Video Instruction Sponsor: Sander This bill requires closed captioning on electronic video instructional materials beginning January 1, 2006. Internet resources and multimedia programs for the elementary and secondary school level must meet standards for accessibility established by the federal Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and its accompanying regulations. Exceptions are made for certain materials. If the publisher of these materials knowingly fails to comply with the requirements, the entity that paid for the materials can receive damages of 10 times the amount paid to have them captioned.Copyright (c) Missouri House of Representatives
