HB 668 -- Health Insurance Coverage Sponsor: Deeken This bill removes the age restriction on mandated coverage of low-protein formula for persons suffering from Phenylketonuria (PKU) or any inherited amino or organic acid disease for insurance policies on or after September 1, 2005. Currently, this coverage is only for children under the age of six. The provisions that allow insurers to charge a copayment of up to 50% of the cost of the formula and allow the Director of the Department of Insurance to determine which limited health insurance plans are exempt from the coverage mandate are removed.Copyright (c) Missouri House of Representatives
