HB 898 -- Administrative Law Judges Sponsor: Vogt This bill requires each agency of the executive branch to be headed by a chief administrative law judge selected by a majority of the administrative law judges employed by the agency if the agency employs more than one administrative law judge and provides for a chief administrative law judge. The chief administrative law judge's duties include supervising administrative law judges, assigning cases, protecting and ensuring the decisional independence of each judge, establishing and implementing standards and training programs, and providing and coordinating continuing education programs.
