HB 910 -- Missouri Medical Malpractice Insurance Company Act Sponsor: Baker (25) This bill establishes the Missouri Medical Malpractice Insurance Company Act and the Missouri Medical Malpractice Insurance Company to provide rural health care providers with innovative and low-cost medical malpractice insurance coverage. The company will be managed by a board of directors initially appointed by the Governor. The board will hire an administrator to oversee the company and create a risk management program to help decrease medical malpractice claims for policyholders. The company will be audited annually, and the open record audit report will be filed with the Director of the Department of Insurance and the administrator. The company's loss experience will be reviewed annually to determine if a cash dividend or credit can be allowed to health care providers insured with the company in accordance with criteria approved by the board.Copyright (c) Missouri House of Representatives
