HB 919 -- Virtual Public School

This bill requires the State Board of Education to establish, by
January 1, 2006, a virtual public school using Internet and
Intranet technology.  The school must have a physical presence in
at least one school district, and any Missouri resident student
from kindergarten to grade 12 will be eligible to enroll.  The
virtual school students will be included in the enrollment of
their resident districts, the virtual school will report its
students' names and eligibility for various forms of aid to their
resident districts, and the Department of Elementary and
Secondary Education will transfer the school aid attributable to
the students to the district hosting the virtual school.
