Sponsor:  Liese

This bill changes the eligibility criteria for the receipt of an
adoption or foster care subsidy. The bill:

(1) Specifies that a subsidy is available to foster families
with an income of up to 300% of the federal poverty limit;

(2) Allows a family who adopts or acts as a foster family to
more than one child or two or more siblings in the custody of the
state to automatically qualify for a subsidy without having to
meet the income guidelines; and

(3) Specifies that any child in the custody of the state who is
placed with a foster family is automatically eligible for
assistance in the Missouri Medicaid Program and subsidized child
care until the child turns 13 years old. To qualify, a foster
family does not have to meet the income guidelines.
