HB 935 -- Retirement Benefits for Prosecutors Sponsor: Goodman Currently, prosecuting attorneys in all counties which made the position of prosecuting attorney full-time prior to August 28, 2001, are allowed to participate in the Prosecuting Attorneys and Circuit Attorneys Retirement System. The prosecutor is eligible for the same benefits as a full-time prosecutor in a first classification county. The election to participate in the system must be made by a majority of the members of the county commission and is irrevocable. This bill specifies that those prosecuting attorneys will participate in the retirement system and the election to participate no longer requires a majority vote of the county commission.Copyright (c) Missouri House of Representatives
