HB 949 -- Medical Assistance

This bill requires the Family Support Division of the Department
of Social Services to determine whether an individual who is
applying for Missouri Medicaid Program benefits is eligible for
medical services from the United States Department of Veterans
Affairs.  If an applicant or recipient is eligible for the
federal medical services, the division must urge the person to
utilize these benefits.  The division must consult with the
federal department regarding a method that can be used to
determine whether an individual who receives Medicaid benefits is
eligible for the federal benefits.
