HB 956 -- Public Utilities Sponsor: Wright-Jones (63) This bill specifies that a public utility may not require a new residential service deposit unless the customer has interfered in an unauthorized manner with the service of a utility providing the same service in the last five years or is unable to establish an acceptable credit rating. A public utility may not require a deposit as a condition of continued residential service unless the service of the customer has been discontinued for nonpayment or the customer interfered in an unauthorized manner with the service of the utility situated on or delivered to the customer's premises.Copyright (c) Missouri House of Representatives
