AN ACT

To amend chapter 320, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to the visibility of street addresses.

                                                




Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:


            Section A. Chapter 320, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 320.055, to read as follows:

            320.055. 1. All residences and commercial businesses shall display their addresses in such a manner that they are clearly visible and easily readable, day or night, from all roadways adjoining such residences or commercial businesses.

            2. As used in this section "commercial business" means any for-profit or not-for-profit business and includes shopping centers with multiple tenants.

            3. In the case of a shopping center with multiple tenants each tenant may display his or her address separately or may combine his or her address with one or more of the other tenants in a joint sign or signs which shall, at a minimum, display the beginning and ending addresses for all the tenants in that shopping center.
