AN ACT
To amend chapter 338, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to dispensing of drugs.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:
Section A. Chapter 338, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 338.400, to read as follows:
338.400. 1. As used in this section the term "veterinary legend drug" means a drug that is restricted to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian under any law or regulation of the federal government.
2. No corporation, limited liability company, partnership, or other business entity shall be required to obtain a license to engage in the practice of pharmacy under this chapter in order to dispense any veterinary legend drug to a consumer possessing a prescription for such drug that has been written by a veterinarian licensed under chapter 340, RSMo.
