AN ACT

To repeal section 86.337, RSMo, and to enact in lieu thereof one new section relating to police relief and pension systems.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:

            Section A. Section 86.337, RSMo, is repealed and one new section enacted in lieu thereof, to be known as section 86.337, to read as follows:

            86.337. The total amount payable to the retirement system for each fiscal year shall be not less than the greater of (1) the normal contribution rate of the total compensation earnable by all members during the year[; provided, however, that the aggregate payment by the said cities shall be sufficient] and (2) the amount which, when combined with the assets of the retirement system, is sufficient to provide the pensions and other benefits payable during the then current year.
