AN ACT

To repeal section 313.803, RSMo, and to enact in lieu thereof one new section relating to excursion gambling boats.





Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:


            Section A. Section 313.803, RSMo, is repealed and one new section enacted in lieu thereof, to be known as section 313.803, to read as follows:

            313.803. Notwithstanding the provisions of section 313.800, any person or business entity who has filed for an excursion gambling license with the Missouri gaming commission prior to May 10, 1994, shall be allowed to create an artificial space up to two thousand feet from the closest edge of the main channel of the river [as established by the United States Army Corps of Engineers]. The main channel of the river shall be the area between the channel markers denoting the navigable channel.
