AN ACT

To amend chapter 173, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to students called to active duty in the armed forces.





Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:


            Section A. Chapter 173, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 173.240, to read as follows:

            173.240. When a currently enrolled student at any public or private institution of higher education in this state is called for active duty in the armed forces and is required to leave the institution while an academic term is in progress, the institution shall grant the student a "Withdraw Passing" or equivalent grade in each class the student was enrolled during that academic term. The institution shall refund to the student any tuition and fees paid, or waive any tuition and fees due, for such classes.
