AN ACT

To repeal section 115.129, RSMo, and to enact in lieu thereof one new section relating to notices of elections.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:

            Section A. Section 115.129, RSMo, is repealed and one new section enacted in lieu thereof, to be known as section 115.129, to read as follows:

            115.129. Not later than the fifth day prior to any election, the election authority [may] shall mail to each registered voter in the area of its jurisdiction in which the election is to be held, a notice of election which shall include the date and time of the election, the location of the voter's polling place and the name of the agency calling the election. The notice [may] shall also include a sample ballot. Any election authority maintaining an Internet site shall post such notice and sample ballot on the site. The election authority may provide any additional notice of the election it deems desirable.
