HB 1503 -- Landlord-Tenant Law Sponsor: Walton Currently, a tenant-defendant, in an action by the landlord for payment of overdue rent, must pay any money judgment and court costs after the date of the original trial, but before any trial de novo to avoid any taking of possession of the rental premises by the landlord.
