HB 1543 -- Hazardous Duty Compensation Act Sponsor: Salva This bill establishes the Hazardous Duty Compensation Act in which public employees receive 1.5 times their regular rate of pay when required to perform job duties that pose an extreme danger beyond the normal performance of the workforce. Maximum speed areas and areas designated by the Department of Transportation will be considered hazardous duty areas.
