HB 1586 -- Credit Risk Scores

Sponsor: Dougherty

This bill prohibits consumer reporting agencies from determining
a consumer's credit risk score based on the number of inquiries
posted on a consumer's credit file. If agencies violate this
provision, consumers can bring civil action and seek injunctive
relief. The Attorney General is allowed to file and prosecute
any civil or criminal actions authorized by these provisions.
