HB 2044 -- Special License Plate

This bill allows any person who served in Afghanistan in the
military operation known as Operation Enduring Freedom, any
person serving in any branch of the armed forces, or any
honorably discharged retiree to obtain a special license
designated "Afghanistan Campaign."

To obtain this plate, a person must furnish proof of service in
Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom and status as
currently serving in the armed forces or as an honorably
discharged veteran and pay a $15 fee in addition to the regular
registration fee along with any other documentation required by
law.  The fee for personalized license plates will not be
required, and there will be no limit on the number of plates any
person may obtain.
