HB 2124 -- In-State Tuition at State Higher Education
Institutions

Sponsor: Aull

This bill establishes the Missouri In-state Tuition Act which
makes students eligible for in-state tuition unless and until the
student demonstrates out-of-state residence or when the student
has attended high school in Missouri for three years; graduated
from a Missouri high school or received the equivalent of a
diploma; entered college no earlier than the fall of 2005; and,
if not a citizen or permanent resident of the United States, has
filed an affidavit stating that he or she will become a permanent
resident at the earliest opportunity. Anyone who files an
affidavit and fails to begin the citizenship process within a
year after filing must repay the difference between in-state and
out-of-state tuition plus interest.
