HCS HB 1232 -- TRANSPORTATION OF DEAD BODIES (Smith, 118)

COMMITTEE OF ORIGIN:  Special Committee on Healthcare Facilities

This substitute requires a hospital, nursing home, or other
health care facility to notify in writing the coroner, funeral
home personnel, or any person responsible for transporting the
dead when an individual dies of a disease that is contagious,
infectious, or communicable.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds in FY 2007, FY 2008, and
FY 2009.
