AN ACT
To amend chapter 571, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to prohibiting the sale of inappropriately colored firearms, with a penalty provision.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:
Section A. Chapter 571, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 571.027, to read as follows:
571.027. 1. A person commits the crime of sale or distribution for sale of an inappropriately colored firearm if such person knowingly sells or distributes for sale in this state any inappropriately colored firearm.
2. As used in this section "inappropriately colored firearm" means any firearm as defined in section 571.010, with a frame that is any color other than chrome, nickel, black or blue steel.
3. Sale or distribution for sale of inappropriately colored firearm is a class A misdemeanor.
