AN ACT

To amend chapter 64, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to county planning and zoning in certain counties, with an emergency clause.




Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:


            Section A. Chapter 64, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 64.831, to read as follows:

            64.831. The county planning commission and the county commission in any county of the first classification with more than one hundred ninety-eight thousand but fewer than one hundred ninety-nine thousand two hundred inhabitants may apply any existing sets of planning and zoning regulations to any plats of land that were subdivided before the adoption of planning and zoning in such county if less than fifty percent of the lots in such subdivision have been developed.

            Section B. Because immediate action is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public health, welfare, peace, and safety, section A of this act is hereby declared to be an emergency act within the meaning of the constitution, and section A of this act shall be in full force and effect upon its passage and approval.
