AN ACT

To amend chapter 208, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to ancillary medical assistance.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:

            Section A. Chapter 208, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 208.202, to read as follows:

            208.202. Subject to appropriations, ancillary medical services shall be reimbursable based on policy established by the division of medical services within the department of social services. Such policy shall be developed using medical evidence, accepted care and treatment guidelines, and recipient diagnosis. The division may, but is not limited to, utilizing techniques of precertification, prior authorization, and the exception process to provide recipient access to such services.
