Summary of the Committee Version of the Bill

HB 268 -- CONVEYANCE IN CALLAWAY COUNTY

SPONSOR: Moore

COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Corrections and Public Institutions by a vote of 7 to 0.

This bill authorizes the Governor to convey a permanent biking
and hiking trail easement over, on, and under state property
located at the Missouri School for the Deaf in Callaway County to
the City of Fulton.

FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds in FY 2008, FY 2009, and
FY 2010.

PROPONENTS: Supporters say that the City of Fulton is expanding
their walking trail. A portion of the trail already passes
through the State School for the Deaf; and by conveying this
parcel of property, it will allow the city to complete their
trail.

Testifying for the bill were Representative Moore; and Greg Hays,
City of Fulton.

OPPONENTS: There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
