HB 467 -- CONVEYANCE IN PETTIS COUNTY

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Corrections and Public Institutions by a vote of 7 to 0.

This bill authorizes the Governor to convey state property
located in Pettis County to the Girl Scouts - Heart of Missouri
Council, Incorporated.

The bill contains an emergency clause.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds in FY 2008, FY 2009, and
FY 2010.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the bill gives a clear title to
a piece of property conveyed to the Girl Scouts in 1965.  The
original conveyance contained a reversionary clause.  The Girl
Scouts are committed to the property and have plans for
improvement.

Testifying for the bill were Representative Cox; and Constance
Barrows, Missouri Girl Scout Council.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
