HB 684 -- CONVEYANCES OF PROPERTY

SPONSOR:  Bruns

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Corrections and Public Institutions by a vote of 6 to 0.

This bill authorizes the Governor to convey state property
located in the City of St. Louis and the counties of St.
Francois, Texas, Newton, Greene, and Livingston.

The bill contains an emergency clause.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds in FY 2008, FY 2009, and
FY 2010.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the bill contains several land
transfers, including some which passed in 2006 but had errors in
the land descriptions.

Testifying for the bill were Representative Jones (117); and
Office of Administration.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
