HB 1005 -- Medical Assistance Eligibility

This bill increases the resource limit for medical assistance
eligibility to $2,500 for a single person and $5,000 for a
married couple.  The Director of the Department of Social
Services must apply to the Secretary of the United States
Department of Health and Human Services for an amendment to the
home and community-based waiver to extend eligibility for medical
assistance to individuals with an income of up to 300% of the
federal poverty level.
