HB 1084 -- Chronic Kidney Disease Task Force

This bill establishes the Chronic Kidney Disease Task Force and
requires the Department of Health and Senior Services to provide
the necessary staff, research, and meeting facilities.  The task
force is required to:

(1)  Develop a plan to educate the public and health care
professionals about early screening, diagnosis, treatment, and
complications of chronic kidney disease;

(2)  Make recommendations regarding the implementation of the
plan;

(3)  Identify barriers to the adoption of best practices; and

(4)  Submit a report of its findings and recommendations to the
General Assembly within one year of the first task force meeting.
