HB 1225 -- Informed Consent for Abortions

This bill requires a physician who will be performing an abortion
or a certified technician working with the physician to conduct
an obstetric ultrasound on the pregnant woman to verify the
gestational age of the fetus at the time the abortion is to be
performed.  The ultrasound images must be reproduced and given to
the pregnant woman to review with the physician or allied health
professional working with the physician before informed consent
is obtained to perform the abortion.
