HB 1269 -- Income Tax Deduction for Funeral Expenses

Beginning January 1, 2007, this bill authorizes an income tax
deduction for certain funeral costs up to $5,000.  Funeral costs
include the amount paid for coffins, caskets, urns, burial cases,
burial vaults, grave monuments, and grave markers.

The provisions of the bill will expire on December 31 six years
from the effective date.
