HB 222 -- Medical Malpractice Insurance

This bill requires the Department of Insurance, Financial
Institutions, and Professional Registration to promulgate rules
defining the terms "claim" and "consent to settle" as they relate
to medical malpractice insurance claims.  Physicians must be
offered consent to settle without participation in binding
arbitration.
