HB 334 -- Sexual Offenders Sponsor: Lipke This bill specifies that a juvenile who is adjudicated as a delinquent and was at least 14 years of age at the time of the offense and the offense was comparable to or more severe than aggravated sexual abuse, including an attempt or conspiracy to commit the offense, will be required to register as an adult offender on the sexual offender registry. Any person who has pled guilty to, nolo contendere to, been convicted of, or found guilty of an offense in any other state, foreign country, tribal, or under federal or military jurisdiction which, if committed in this state, would be a sexual offense involving a child as a victim cannot reside within 1,000 feet of any school; be present in or loiter within 500 feet of any school building; or be present on real property comprising any school or in any conveyance owned, leased, or contracted by a school to transport students to or from school or a school-related activity when persons younger than 18 years of age are present. Offenders will have only three business days instead of 10 days after each change of name, residence, employment, or student status to update their information on the sexual offender registry.Copyright (c) Missouri House of Representatives
