HB 920 -- Uniform Real Property Electronic Recording Act Sponsor: Schneider This bill establishes the Uniform Real Property Electronic Recording Act to allow for the recording of an electronic format document instead of a paper one. The county recorder of deeds will be allowed to convert paper documents into electronic form for the purpose of indexing, storing, and archiving. The Electronic Recording Commission is also established to adopt standards for implementing these provisions. The bill becomes effective January 1, 2008.Copyright (c) Missouri House of Representatives
