HB 964 -- Mental Health Pilot Project Sponsor: Donnelly Beginning September 1, 2007, this bill requires the Department of Mental Health to establish a pilot project that creates four assertive community treatment teams. Assertive community treatment means a team-treatment approach designed to provide comprehensive, community-based psychiatric treatment, rehabilitation, and support to persons with serious and persistent mental illness such as schizophrenia. The teams can provide services either throughout the state or in designated pilot project areas. Beginning July 1, 2008, the department is required to submit an annual report to the House of Representatives Budget Committee and the Senate Appropriations Committee on the pilot project results, assessment, evaluation, and any recommendations for the expansion of the project.Copyright (c) Missouri House of Representatives
