HJR 15 -- Judicial Qualifications

Upon voter approval, this proposed constitutional amendment
requires the Governor's judicial appointments to the Missouri
Supreme Court and the courts of appeals to be approved by the
Senate.  Judges of the Missouri Supreme Court and the courts of
appeals may serve only one eight-year term.

All circuit judges and associate circuit judges will also serve
eight-year terms.  Judges not subject to the nonpartisan court
plan may run for re-election to the same office, but any circuit
or associate circuit judge who is subject to the nonpartisan
court plan may serve for only one eight-year term.
