HJR 32 -- Public Aid for Religious Purposes

Sponsor:  Cunningham (86)

Upon voter approval, this proposed constitutional amendment
specifies that Sections 6 and 7 of Article I of the Missouri
Constitution cannot be more restrictive than the First Amendment
of the United States Constitution.  Sections 6 and 7 protect
citizens from the compelled worship of a particular religion and
prohibit the state sponsorship of any religion.
