HB 166 -- WRITE-IN CANDIDATES (Hoskins)

COMMITTEE OF ORIGIN:  Elections

This bill requires anyone filing a declaration of intent to be a
write-in candidate for election to a municipal office to meet
requirements involving their qualifications for holding elective
office, filing deadlines, the payment of city taxes and municipal
fees, and the payment of state property and income taxes.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds in FY 2008, FY 2009, and
FY 2010.
